The best for your breasts.

An astounding one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. According to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, mammography is the most effective screening tool used to identify abnormalities and breast cancer. Garrison Women’s Health encourages women over the age of 40 to begin yearly, life-saving screenings, and is proud to offer the latest 3D mammography right here in our office.

It's important to go to the same place for every mammogram.

Whether you get a mammogram at Garrison or elsewhere, the easiest way for your provider to compare your mammogram results year over year is if you get them done at the same facility every time. If you’ve had mammograms at another facility, try to get those records to bring with you (or have them sent there) so the old and new pictures can be compared.

Why choose Garrison Women's Health for your mammograms?

3d mammography

State-of-the-art technology

Garrison Women’s Health is the first women’s health practice in Dover, NH, to offer 3D mammography, the industry’s most innovative approach to detecting breast cancer and abnormalities. We are FDA-approved and accredited with the American College of Radiology, and are a member of the National Consortium of Breast Centers.

A better look at breast tissue

While standard 2D mammography provides a single image, advanced 3D imaging technology captures multiple images of a woman’s breast tissue for earlier and more accurate detection of breast abnormalities. This results in reduced callbacks for retesting and lowers the chances of providers seeing a false positive.

Anyone can receive a mammogram in our office

You do not need to be our patient in order to receive a mammogram in our office. You may self-refer, or if required by your insurance, ask your primary care physician for a referral. We accept most insurance plans.

What else can you do to avoid breast cancer?

In addition to scheduling yearly screenings, it is important for women to conduct frequent self-exams throughout the year. Your gynecologist can give you instructions on how to perform these exams and what you should look for. If you notice any abnormalities or experience anything unusual, contact your provider immediately. Early detection can save your life!
