Nutrition During Pregnancy

One of the best things you can do for your growing baby is to eat a healthy, well-balanced diet. Yet, knowing what to eat can be a tricky business, even when you're not pregnant!

Garrison Women’s Health Center can answer your questions and help you navigate all your nutritional needs during pregnancy.

  • How much fish is safe?
  • Can I eat deli meat?
  • How much folic acid do I need?

Your First Visit

During your first visit, we will review your individual dietary needs to help you stay healthy, energized and prevent common pregnancy problems.

You will also receive the latest recommendations for optimizing weight gain and proper nutrition through your entire pregnancy.

Certified Nutrition Counseling

Garrison’s Certified Nutrition Counselor, Marge Hayner, RD, can assist those that would like additional or ongoing consultation.

Marge has been working with women in our practice for over twenty years to support their health and well-being.

Exercise during Pregnancy

We all know that exercise is good for you and good for your pregnancy.  But – how much is too much?  Is it safe to begin exercising when you’re pregnant if you didn’t exercise before?

Our providers will help you decide if you need to modify your exercise regimen.

NH Prenatal Exercies Classes

Prenatal exercise classes are a fun way to keep exercising throughout your pregnancy and meet other pregnant women.

Many women feel more comfortable exercising with a group of women who look and feel just like they do.

To find a prenatal exercise class in Dover, NH, see the prenatal exercise program at Wentworth Douglass Hospital.
