Welcome to Megan McIntyre!
Welcome to Megan McIntyre, APRN, WHNP-BC, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, to Garrison Women’s Health Center! Megan will be starting the first week of May, 2011.
Megan is a dear friend of ours at Garrison. She has been a colleague for the past thirteen years as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at the Women and Children’s Center at Wentworth Douglass Hospital. In addition, she was employed by Garrison Women ’s Health Center a few years ago as an Infertility nurse. Her list of skills includes teaching Childbirth Education Classes.
Megan grew up in Nottingham, NH, and graduated from Dover High School.
She has a BA in Psychology from Skidmore College and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from John Hopkins University. While working at Wentworth Douglass hospital, Megan decided to pursue her Master’s in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner certification in Women’s Health.
Megan’s approach to healthcare is holistic, supportive, and empowering. She has a special interest in the evidence based use of alternative remedies to complement women’s health care. At Garrison Women’s Health, her women’s health training enables her to see both obstetric and gynecological patients. She is a great fit with Garrison Women’s Health Center and a great person. We know you’ll love her as we do.
Megan lives in Dover with her husband, John, and their children Jackson (10), Lillian (6), and Isabel (5). They enjoy spending time outdoors, especially at their cabin on the coast of Maine.
